Sponsoring and Social Commitment
…we are happy support financially here! For a company connected to the region, we feel that we should give something back to our region. For this reason, we have chosen the following charity organizations.
The Braunschweig-Wolfsburg region is located in the heart of Germany. It includes the districts of Gifhorn, Goslar, Helmstedt, Peine and Wolfenbüttel as well as the independent cities of Braunschweig, Salzgitter and Wolfsburg. Thus, the region extends from the northern Harz Mountains in the south to the Heath in the north. The portal presents the diversity of the Braunschweig-Wolfsburg region. It offers exciting articles by locals who report on their life and work in the region. From outdoor tours, excursion destinations and real estate offers to a company directory and current job offers to a regional events calendar, the website bundles everything interesting about living and working here locally.
The Digital Camp is a vacation activity program in our headquarters in Braunschweig for kids and teens from 11 to 15 years old. With our Digital Camp @ fme, we want to give children and young people an early insight into the world of IT. We want to create moments that they will remember fondly later. Moments that lay a first foundation and perhaps awaken an interest in a profession in Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Technology. The young “digitalizers” get to grips with robotics and app development, among other things, and learn in a playful way about the potential that digital technologies can unleash. We have put together a colorful program to ensure that the learning and fun factors are high.
fme Prize at the Technical University of Braunschweig
Every year, the Institute of Business and Economics at the Technical University of Braunschweig awards the fme Prize for outstanding business and economics work of the year. By financially supporting the graduation ceremony and offering the fme prize, we help to provide students with an appropriate, festive setting for their graduation ceremony. Of course, this also gives us the opportunity to present ourselves as a regional company and as a potential employer. A large proportion of fme employees studied at the TU Braunschweig.
In 2012, some 25 years after the first staircase party in the Feldschlößchen building, the Braunschweig Unternehmerstammtisch revived the tradition right there with great success and has been collecting donations for charitable organizations in the region ever since. In 2014, the century-old staircase of the Lucklum knight’s estate was the focus of the party fun, in 2016, it was colorful and hearty in a former DIY store and a considerable donation sum of almost 123,000 euros was collected. fme supports this project as host.
