Extension of the customer experience for a well-known automotive manufacturer
The project objective was to develop a customer (loyalty) portal in the German market in order to offer existing and prospective customers of the automobile manufacturer individualized access to the brand and thus create a new basis for the digital customer experience. The focus is on the customer with his or her wishes and needs in relation to his purchased vehicle. With the help of personalized content and services, the digital portal creates an additional benefit and thus facilitates the everyday life of the customer.
In order to successfully launch the portal on the German market, the mobility requirements of customers in Germany had to be taken into account. fme AG succeeded in doing this by providing personalized information and offers throughout the entire sales process, i.e. from the purchase phase through ownership to the repurchase phase. The SCRUM development control method provided significant support in the fast and flexible adaptation of the portal to customer requirements. In addition to the agile project management and the technical conception of the portal with all its functionalities, fme AG managed the holistic coordination of the various interfaces and all development service providers involved, thus ensuring product quality at all times. The key success factors that led to efficient development and implementation were, in particular, the transparent and customer-specific approach, combined with consistent and open project communication and the technical deployment of the portal and associated app. The preparation, coordination and testing as well as the release planning and roll-out were equally decisive for success.
