The consequences of the catastrophe are shocking: More than 180 people died as a result of the floods, which at times brought down more than 150 liters of rain per square meter. Houses collapsed, roads and cars were swept away, railroad tracks were washed out, warehouses and production facilities were shut down, and infrastructure was destroyed. Two weeks after the flood, thousands of people are still without electricity, drinking water and gas. In addition, there is a threat of epidemics.
